Job Overview: We are on the lookout for a skilled Circular Knitting Specialist to enhance our team, focusing on hands-on work with advanced circular knitting machinery in our production operations. This vital role comes with extensive training for candidates possessing a knitting background. As a key member of our innovation team, you will contribute to operational excellence while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary technician in the knitting department, operating and maintaining a variety of circular knitting machines such as single jersey, double jersey, interlock, rib, jacquard, and terry knitting equipment. Production Support: Act as a backup knitter as necessary, efficiently operating machines to transform yarn into tubular and flat fabric products, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex challenges. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct inspections, tests, repairs, and reassembly of circular knitting machines according to established maintenance schedules, replacing worn components and making precise adjustments. Problem Resolution: Diagnose and methodically resolve machine malfunctions, prioritizing minimal downtime and optimal productivity. Quality Assurance: Prepare and verify the quality of knitted fabrics for shipment, monitoring production to adhere to quality standards and reporting unresolvable issues. Product Development: Analyze new products for design and manufacturing feasibility, with proficiency in interpreting specification sheets and knitting patterns. Production Management: Balance quality, productivity, cost, and safety to achieve departmental goals and production targets. Inventory Control: Maintain adequate inventory levels of needed parts and materials for seamless production. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with shift support, knitters, and fabric inspectors to address fabric-related challenges while ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a circular knit manufacturing environment. Experience working with circular knitting machinery, including Mayer & Cie, Lonati, Santoni, Fukuhara, Terrot, Monarch, and Orizio, along with a demonstrated capability to overhaul industrial circular knitting machines. Proficiency with relevant software and programs is a plus; familiarity with M-CAM, ORISIO, Santoni Design Software, Terrot Control Systems, Monarch Programming Interface, Orizio Pattern Software, AutoCAD, TexGen, Knit Design CAD, Adobe Illustrator, and Pointcarré CAD/CAM. Comprehensive understanding of textile manufacturing process capabilities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer manuals, specification sheets, safety regulations, and maintenance instructions. Strong problem-solving abilities with a natural inclination to address manufacturing challenges. Excellent customer service, analytical, and communication skills. High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Demonstrated leadership potential with an interest in advancing to supervisory or management roles.
