SAP Business Process Analyst

The MFCT EBS-C Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Army missions and business processes, focusing on the transformative shift to SAP S/4HANA for the EBS-C solution. This position combines deep functional knowledge of SAP with a comprehensive understanding of how the U.S. Army and Federal agencies operate. You will not only document requirements but actively shape solutions, turning operational needs into effective and scalable SAP solutions. As a key member of our team, your insights will guide Business Owners, Product Owners, Epic Owners, and technical teams to ensure that EBS-C capabilities align with Army requirements while adhering to best practices and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Business Process & Functional Analysis: Analyze and document Army financial or logistics business processes, leveraging SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA. Act as a functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) across various domains such as financial management, supply chain, logistics, maintenance, or asset management. Translate operational needs into functional requirements, creating clear Epics, Features, and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery. Support business process standardization and ERP system convergence across legacy Army systems. SAP Functional & Techno-Functional Support: Assist in configuring SAP functionalities aligned with Army business processes and EBS-C standards. Provide immediate functional guidance to developers addressing questions or issues during solution development. Help troubleshoot functional problems and ensure proper solution validation through testing and defect resolution. Ensure SAP solutions meet internal controls, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements. Agile Team Participation: Work as a core member of the Agile Team, supporting Product Owners and Epic Owners through the delivery lifecycle. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration planning, and reviews. Contribute to backlog refinement by transforming features into actionable user stories and enablers. Support incremental value delivery aligned with Project Increment objectives and Army mission priorities. Federal / DoD Context & Stakeholder Engagement: Utilize knowledge of U.S. Federal agencies' operating environments, including compliance and decision-making processes. Leverage experience with DoD or Army Enterprise Systems (e.g., GFEBS, LMP, GCSS-Army, AESIP) to enhance solution design and data migration strategies. Collaborate effectively with government personnel, military, and contractors in a unified team setting. Required Skills & Experience Experience as an SAP functional analyst in financial or logistics processes using SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA. Strong grasp of SAP's facilitation of end-to-end business processes (e.g., record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, supply chain). Familiarity with Agile delivery concepts and frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban). Background in U.S. Federal Government environments, particularly within the DoD or U.S. Army. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desired Skills & Experience Previous experience with Army ERPs, including GFEBS, LMP, GCSS-Army, and/or AESIP. Hands-on techno-functional SAP experience, including configuration and light ABAP work. Experience with large-scale ERP transformations or system convergence initiatives. Familiarity with audit and compliance requirements in Federal ERP implementations. SAFe, Agile, or SAP certifications.
