Job Description Summary/Objective The Telecommunications Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects, while also handling budget management and various administrative tasks. This role includes stepping in for the Project Supervisor when necessary. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Ensure the highest quality in construction and report any issues promptly. Work closely with the Project Supervisor to address and resolve any quality concerns. Effectively communicate construction plans and project scopes to teams and subcontractors. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects as directed by the Project Supervisor. Provide regular updates to the Project Supervisor regarding project progress and developments. Operate machinery or perform labor duties as needed. Act as a liaison between the Company, customers, and utility providers. Assist in sourcing and tracking construction materials with the Project Supervisor. Responsible for the maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles. Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain proper equipment upkeep. Accurately complete all required company documentation such as timesheets and expense reports. Adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures, ensuring safe work practices. Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated experience with coaxial and fiber installation as well as cable construction, including aerial and underground work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and system design documentation. Willingness to work shifts exceeding 10 hours when necessary. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Able to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 80 pounds. Proficient in climbing and descending ladders safely. Consistently reliable and responsible regarding work attendance. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent certification is required. 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications construction is mandatory. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checks. Complete and pass a DOT Physical. Physical Demands This position requires balancing, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, hearing, and talking. Work Environment Employees may encounter varying weather conditions while performing job tasks. Travel This position necessitates travel to project sites, including frequent overnight stays.
