Position Summary: Join our team as a Pharmaceutical General Merchandise Clerk and create an outstanding customer experience through your exceptional service. Assist in reaching sales and profit goals for the department and uphold quality assurance standards. Key Responsibilities: Welcome customers and ensure they feel important and appreciated by answering product-related questions for the department and store. Maintain knowledge of products and confidently respond to customer inquiries, providing recommendations. Engage customers by offering product samples to help them discover new items. Keep customers informed about current Drug GM specials. Recommend and ensure customers receive desired Drug GM items. Review expiration dates and take necessary actions. Label, stock, and manage inventory for the department. Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager. Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions. Stay updated on seasonal promotions and special ads. Support safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repair needs. Report any customer or employee accidents to management. Report all safety risks, illegal activities, and any incidents of theft or fraud. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively. Act with integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues. Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Previous retail experience preferred. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Strong communication skills. Basic math knowledge is required.
