ABOUT THE ROLE We are on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to enhance equipment maintenance and reliability in our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Penn Yan, NY. This position is crucial for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring our equipment operates efficiently and safely. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment. Identify abnormal equipment conditions and resolve issues swiftly to minimize downtime. Assist with machine setup, testing, adjustments, and mechanical rebuilds. Perform emergency repairs during daily operations as needed. Work safely in proximity to moving machinery, steam systems, compressed air, and chemicals. Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings. Support building and facility maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, painting, welding, and repairs. Contribute to wastewater and utility systems maintenance as applicable. Communicate equipment concerns and suggest improvement opportunities effectively. Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience. Strong mechanical aptitude with a knack for disassembling and reassembling equipment. Experience with electrical, electro-mechanical, or pneumatic systems required. Proficiency in troubleshooting is preferred. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability and self-motivation. A collaborative team player. Commitment to safe work habits and adhering to safety procedures. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. Reliable transportation is necessary. SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT Full-time position. Shift Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday. Training hours: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. for approximately 90 days. Shifts: 2nd Shift: 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. and 3rd Shift: 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. Flexibility for weekends and overtime is required. Work is conducted around industrial equipment, processing areas, and may involve heights and confined spaces. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base Pay Range: $28 - $36 per hour based on experience. Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 paid after 30 days of employment. Additional compensation may include overtime pay and shift premiums. Health benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, FSA, EAP, and voluntary insurance options.
