Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments, facility inspections, and EHS audits to identify and mitigate hazards. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Manage hazardous waste disposal, air emissions, and wastewater discharge permits and compliance. Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills and crisis management. Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and industry best practices. Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Professional EHS certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager). Bonus QualificationsLean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience leading sustainability or energy efficiency programs. Proficiency with EHS management software implementation or optimization. Multilingual capabilities, particularly Spanish or other languages common in the local workforce.
