The Healthcare Support Specialist is a cross-trained medical professional who plays a crucial role in our medical centers. You will perform a variety of routine administrative and clinical tasks under the supervision of a physician, ensuring our centers run effectively and efficiently. Join our Physician-led Care Team dedicated to delivering exceptional primary care to our patients. Essential Responsibilities: Measure and record patient vital signs and medical history. Communicate patient needs to the appropriate healthcare personnel. Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures. Monitor patients and report any significant changes to the healthcare team. Conduct basic medical procedures such as specimen collection and lab tests. Administer medications, dress wounds, and provide necessary first aid under supervision. Maintain medical supplies and ensure all equipment is sterilized and safety compliant. Handle patient communications and assist in prescription management. Support and motivate patients in adopting healthy lifestyle choices through health coaching. Perform additional duties as directed by management. Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team. Problem-solving mindset focused on patient satisfaction and team achievement. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare practices. Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage patient flow efficiently. Ability to maintain composure in busy or stressful situations. Willingness to travel locally to assist at other centers when needed. Fluency in English both spoken and written. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or related field. At least 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare role. BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is required. Experience with geriatric patients is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus. Compensation: Hourly pay ranges from $17.00 to $24.26. Your final compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors.
