As a Data Scientist II, you will work on high-impact analytics that transform massive, complex datasets into actionable intelligence. You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to build models, uncover patterns, and deliver insights that directly support operational decisions. Schedule and Work Details Location: NBP410 Schedule: Full-time onsite in a secure environment Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required); in-scope poly within 7 years Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like Developing machine learning models to extract insights from large, complex datasets Cleaning, transforming, and preparing raw data for analysis Performing statistical analysis to support data-driven decisions Building scripts and tools to automate analytics workflows Querying and managing structured and unstructured databases Creating visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings clearly Collaborating with engineers and analysts to operationalize models Presenting results to technical and non-technical stakeholders Minimum Qualifications Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required) Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, operations research, or similar) Five (5) years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics Five (5) years of programming experience using data analysis tools such as Python or R Additional four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree PhD in a quantitative discipline may substitute for four (4) years of experience Required Skills Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and algorithm implementation Solid foundation in statistics and probability, including regression and hypothesis testing Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Scikit-Learn Ability to clean, transform, and structure complex datasets (data wrangling) Experience with SQL and database systems such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB Ability to build predictive models and evaluate performance metrics Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Desired Skills Experience with large-scale data environments or distributed analytics Familiarity with cloud-based data processing platforms Experience communicating technical results to non-technical audiences Background supporting intelligence or national security missions Technology Stack Python, R, NumPy, pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Tableau, Matplotlib, machine learning pipelines, statistical modeling tools, data visualization platforms. Compensation Range: $132,000.00 - $169,000.00 The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
