Job Title: Manager Trainee Program Department: Supply Chain Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Are you looking to jumpstart your career in supply chain management? Join our Manager Trainee Program, where you will gain hands-on experience in managing transportation logistics under expert guidance. This position is designed for those eager to learn, working closely with a dedicated team to ensure the efficient and safe movement of freight, while providing top-notch customer service. Key Responsibilities: Develop and nurture positive relationships with drivers and external carriers to enhance productivity and minimize turnover. Act as a team player, stepping in for colleagues and contributing to special projects aimed at optimizing fleet operations. Learn to effectively manage personnel, including the training and support of drivers and employees on various systems. Maximize fleet efficiency and profitability by analyzing key performance indicators and preparing financial reports for clients. Understand the management of inventory and resources to balance driver and equipment allocations. Handle administrative tasks including payroll, budget management, driver counseling, and issue resolution. Maintain yard operations, ensuring equipment is inspected, repaired, and serviced on schedule. Collaborate with drivers, customers, and company personnel to overcome service and operational challenges. Promote a safety-first culture by delivering daily safety messages and facilitating regular training sessions. Learn to plan and monitor freight movement, assuring compliance with service requirements and all safety regulations. Candidates must be open to relocation upon completion of the training program (1-6 months). Must be available to work nights and weekends as needed. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of relevant experience. Willingness to travel to customer and company sites as required. Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Open to regional relocation based on job requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in team management. Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to make informed decisions. Adaptable to changing work environments. Proven ability to foster healthy relationships with clients and peers. A commitment to providing exceptional service. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in recognizing and resolving operational challenges. The expected starting pay range for this position is between $44,100.00 to $66,150.00 per year. This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. Compensation: Salary may vary based on skills, education, experience, and geography. This role may also qualify for annual bonuses and incentives based on company performance.
