Summary: Join the Product Security Group as a skilled manager dedicated to enhancing the security maturity of our key product surfaces, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. In this vital role, you will build and lead a team of security engineers, craft strategic initiatives, and oversee execution efforts to fortify our products against potential threats. Security Engineering Manager Responsibilities: Conduct research to discover innovative solutions that align with our security goals. Collaborate with vulnerability management, the offensive security group, and other security teams to synchronize remediation actions and effectively protect the company from existing threats. Design, scope, and lead rigorous technical assessments of Meta’s products. Manage the development of assurance automation, scoping, and other necessary security work to support our assessment initiatives. Build and manage a talented team of security engineers proficient in the distinct systems and technologies utilized at Meta. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in recruiting, developing, and leading technical teams, including performance management. Proficiency in translating technical ideas into accessible language for diverse audiences, including software engineers, business and technical leaders. Experience with security assurance activities such as reviews, SAST/DAST, and mitigation strategies. History of managing teams performing assurance activities. Strong knowledge of product attack surfaces. Experience in programming languages such as PHP, Hack, Python, C, C++, or Java. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional programs.
