Requisition ID: # 170923 Job Category: Compliance / Risk / Quality Assurance Job Level: Senior Manager Business Unit: Strategy & Growth Work Type: Hybrid Position Summary As the Senior Manager of Asset & Program Risk, you will be integral in collaborating with key functions such as Enterprise Risk, Asset Strategy, and Investment Planning. Your role will focus on evaluating, modeling, and managing risks related to asset conditions, aging infrastructure, safety exposures, and outage performance. You will lead the creation of analytics, models, processes, and tools aimed at informing risk-based maintenance and capital investment decisions. Your expertise will ensure that portfolio strategies align with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk appetite while providing insightful risk perspectives that drive investment prioritization and long-term grid planning. Your office location will be within PG&E's service territory. Salary Information: The compensation range for this role reflects PG&E's belief in good faith regarding potential pay. The actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including skills, education, licenses, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Generally, successful candidates may start within the middle to entry point of the range. Estimated Salary Range: Bay Area: Minimum Base Salary: $155,000.00 Mid Base Salary: $210,000.00 Maximum Base Salary: $265,000.00 California: Minimum Base Salary: $147,000.00 Mid Base Salary: $200,000.00 Maximum Base Salary: $252,000.00 Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Asset Strategy to evaluate asset health, including safety risks, outage risks, and infrastructure aging trends. Assess capital portfolio risks related to delivery, execution limitations, and regulatory compliance. Integrate safety and risk insights into maintenance prioritization and capital investment planning. Work with Investment Planning, Asset Strategy, and Enterprise Risk to align strategies with risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Lead a team focused on developing analytic models and tools to manage and display asset risk across Transmission and Distribution. Implement a methodology for risk-informed investments that emphasizes transparency and repeatability. Establish procedures and governance for investment prioritization and analytics processes. Report findings and recommendations to executives and stakeholders. Provide strategic insights to reduce safety risks and enhance asset performance durability. Oversee staffing, budget, and vendor resources for effective delivery and execution. Represent the organization in industry groups related to asset risk and capital planning. Support the creation and execution of actions aimed at addressing asset-related risks and improving resilience. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 8 years of experience in engineering, analytical modeling, or asset management. Desired: Master's degree. 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience. Professional Engineering License. Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Strong understanding of asset health modeling and risk-based investment strategies. Experience in capital planning, portfolio management, or risk governance. Proven ability to direct technical teams and manage tools supporting investment planning. Excellent communication skills to convey complex risk insights to executives and stakeholders. Proven experience in managing large-scale initiatives and improvement programs.
