Schedule 12-hour night shift, with a requirement to work every weekend. Job Description The Cardiac Progressive Care Registered Nurse will provide care in a Cardiac Progressive Care Stepdown Tele/Surgical focus unit. Candidates must be willing to float to similar units as needed. ResponsibilitiesProvide post-operative nursing care for cardiac patients, including those who are Day 1 post-operative from CABG procedures. Monitor and assess patients in the Cardiac Progressive Care unit. Utilize Epic for patient documentation and tracking. Administrator required medications and treatments as per protocols. Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a Cardiac Progressive Care unit. AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required. NIHSS certification required prior to start. PCCN certification preferred. Experience in a large trauma Level 1 facility in the last year. Cardiothoracic and vascular experience required.
