Summary: The Energy Manager for Natural Gas Commercial Operations will significantly contribute to advancing Meta's onsite generation strategy. This role supports the development of a diverse portfolio of cost-effective energy sources aligned with Meta's strategic objectives. We seek a candidate with expertise and hands-on experience in natural gas procurement, sales, transportation, and portfolio optimization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to assess market fundamentals, have a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, and bring extensive knowledge across the commercial, regulatory, technical, and financial aspects of natural gas markets. Key Responsibilities: Build and foster strong relationships with key market participants, including producers, traders, utilities, and transport companies. Develop and execute innovative strategies for natural gas procurement, sales, and transportation. Negotiate and manage advantageous contracts with suppliers, transporters, and customers. Continuously monitor and analyze natural gas market trends, pricing, and supply/demand dynamics. Create detailed market reports, forecasts, and presentations for internal stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including engineering, data center staff, sustainability, policy, communications, design, construction, legal, and finance departments. Support the ongoing development and execution of Meta's energy strategy for our data centers. Lead and contribute to diverse energy projects as necessary. Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of experience in natural gas markets, commodities trading, or energy transportation. In-depth understanding of natural gas pricing mechanisms, market structures, and regulatory frameworks. Proven experience with contract negotiation and management, including transport, supply, and sales. Familiarity with pipeline operations, scheduling, and logistics. Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal teams, energy providers, consultants, and external stakeholders. Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in standard document and analytics platforms such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work smoothly within cross-functional teams.
