As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the daily operations of the branch and fostering a supportive, service-driven environment for both clients and team members. Your leadership will ensure the branch's efficient functioning while also coaching, developing, and empowering the teller staff to guide clients toward financial solutions tailored to their needs. Lead the day-to-day operations of the branch. Supervise, train, and mentor Teller staff. Assist the Branch Manager in cultivating a performance-driven sales culture. Facilitate client engagement to help them reach their financial goals while recommending Bank products and services. Effectively address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Step in as acting manager during the Branch Manager's absence. In this role, you will: Oversee the processing of daily financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments. Lead sales initiatives, operational efficiency, and client service efforts while providing guidance and support to the teller team. Ensure operational tasks are executed accurately and in a timely manner. Reinforce policies and procedures to mitigate risk and achieve strong audit results. Engage clients in financial discussions using the Banner Way process to identify their needs. Provide well-suited product recommendations based on individual client situations. Refer clients to Bank specialists when specialized expertise is necessary. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes, compliance mandates, and security standards. Act as the branch leader in the absence of the Branch Manager. What we are looking for: A High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Required). At least 6 years of retail banking experience (Required). Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role leading projects, processes, or teams (Required). An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be accepted. Key Attributes for Success: Comprehensive knowledge of retail banking products, policies, procedures, and systems. Confidence in navigating complex accounts with expertise in consumer and QuickStep lending. Exceptional client service and relationship-building abilities with strong communication skills. Effective selling, cross-selling, and referral abilities to enhance branch growth. Proficient in problem-solving, negotiation, and analyzing client financial data. A passion for assisting clients in finding the right financial solutions. Capability to lift up to 25 pounds as part of the role. Travel: Up to 20% travel may be required. Compensation & Benefits: Targeted starting salary range (dependent on experience): $27 - $36 per hour. Annual incentive potential. Education & Certifications: - High School Diploma required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) - NMLS registration preferred. Experience: - 6 or more years of retail banking experience required. - 0 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough understanding of retail product philosophy, policies, procedures, documentation, and systems. Demonstrated knowledge of all complex accounts, consumer lending, and QuickStep lending. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal/written communication skills. Proficient in sales, cross-selling, and referral techniques. Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complex operational issues and provide support to other branches when needed. Travel: Up to 20% travel expected. Compensation & Benefits: Targeted starting salary range (based on experience): $51,989 - $77,984. Incentive potential.
