We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented US Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across the organization. This role oversees endtoend payroll processing for a large, multistate workforce and plays a key leadership role in maintaining payroll integrity, optimizing processes, and supporting system enhancements. US Payroll is currently processed using Oracle Enterprise Business Services (Oracle EBS). HDR is evaluating the most effective approach to transition our systems to Oracle Cloud, and this role will be instrumental in shaping and executing that transformation. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to solution visioning, system implementation, testing, and change management activities. We are seeking individuals with demonstrated experience in supporting system development, stabilization, and organizational change management Primary Responsibilities: Day to day oversight of US Payroll processing, including supervision and development of staff, prioritization, and all business functions necessary to maintain high-quality payroll functions. Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on schedule, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee reporting provided to leadership and stakeholders to ensure key trends, abnormalities, and/or related matters are clearly and regularly communicated. Provide guidance and assistance to staff when troubleshooting and testing issues. Oversee and manage any audit requests from state & federal regulators. Development and train the employees to ensure they have a sound understanding of the processes they are responsible for. Maintain detailed desktop procedures and cross-training of resources within the broader Payroll team to ensure resilience of business processes and people resources. Participate in the development and implementation of continual process improvements intended to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of US Payroll, while maintaining or improving the experience of employees who interact with Payroll. Provide candid and open feedback to staff and peers in a constructive fashion. Demonstrated ability to maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders within other areas, including Oracle Time & Labor, Payroll Tax, Global Payroll, Mobility, Human Resources, Benefits, Accounting, and company leadership. Provide excellent customer service and communication to internal and external customers. Candidate must have strong attention to detail, administer job duties with a high level of precision and accuracy, and have a team player attitude. Candidate will be expected to perform or oversee completion of assigned duties with high quality within the established timeline, while maintaining compliance with the payroll regulations of applicable regions. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum 5 years of experience performing payroll or similar relatable experience strongly preferred. In-house, multi-state U.S. payroll experience. MS Office proficiency, with focus on Excel capabilities. Oracle EBS/Cloud experience. A/E/C industry experience. Detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Team oriented and willingness to learn new things Experience researching and interpreting payroll tax regulations, documenting ERP requirements necessary to comply, and testing system calculations to verify their accuracy.
