Job Description

Job Title: AssemblerJob Description The assembler will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them in clips. Following blueprints or work instructions, the assembler will meticulously feed each colored wire through a connector. Accuracy is crucial as the wires are small and must be fed in the correct order. Once all wires are in place, a small drop of epoxy is added, and the wires are pulled through to create a coating over the entire wire surface. The assembly is then placed into a curing device for drying, followed by a final polishing stage, and tested for connection accuracy. Responsibilities Measure and cut fiber cables accurately. Feed colored wires through connectors according to blueprints. Apply epoxy and ensure proper coating of wires. Use small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes as needed. Place assemblies into curing devices and perform final testing. Essential Skills 6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience in assembly of small parts or medical device assembly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to accurately see and place colored wires. Experience with microscopes or ability to work under one. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with guidewire, hand tools, and microscope assembly. Knowledge in assembly clean rooms and medical assembly. Work Environment Work in a newly renovated, rapidly growing facility with a clean room environment that does not require specific clean room attire. Business casual dress is acceptable, with smocks provided. Safety glasses and gloves are optional and available. The first shift runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, with potential overtime on Fridays. The team is small but expanding quickly, offering a dynamic and evolving workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
