Construction Payroll Specialist

Construction Payroll Specialist PrideStaff Financial has partnered with a Sacramento based construction company in search of a Payroll Specialist. In this position the Construction Payroll Specialist ensures accurate, timely pay for field and office staff, handling complex tasks like union reporting and multi-state taxes. They will manage weekly and semi-monthly timesheets within ADP Workday payroll system. The Construction Payroll Specialist will report directly to the Accounting Manager. Construction Payroll Specialist Responsibilities: Manage weekly and semi-monthly payroll for hourly, salaried, union, non-union employees Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage/public works projects. Maintain accurate records, calculate union dues, and manage fringe benefits as it relates to payroll Review, and verify timesheets, ensuring accuracy of data entries Review tax deductions, garnishments, and quarterly/year-end reports for accuracy Assist with entering new employee data into the payroll system Work with project managers to resolve payroll discrepancies and verify hours Ad-hoc duties as needed to support accounting team Qualifications Previous experience in multi-state construction payroll Proficiency in construction payroll system, ADP Workday Payroll system a plus Previous experience in DIR Reporting using LCP Tracker Strong proficiency in Excel including formulas, VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables In-depth understanding of prevailing wage laws and union regulations Ability to work independently and meet time sensitive deadlines High attention to detail and strong organizational skills PrideStaff Financial Hiring Requirements: Must be 18+ Years Old Must be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background Check Must be Willing to Submit to a Drug Screen Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S. Enhance your career with a full-time job, with a great company, competitive wages, and let PrideStaff Financial support you in your future employment endeavors.
