The Director of Restaurant Operations is a key leader focused on driving profitability, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing teams, and achieving operational excellence. This role is responsible for the daily operations of a single restaurant, reporting directly to the District Manager. You'll lead a diverse team, consisting of an Assistant Manager, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and Team Members, with a total headcount ranging from 20 to 45 employees. Qualifications and Skills: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management Strong understanding of P&L management and factors affecting restaurant profitability Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and objectives Proven leadership skills Excellent understanding of guest service principles Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary Capable of managing long and/or irregular shifts to ensure smooth restaurant operations Summary of Responsibilities: Profitability Oversee the restaurant's P&L, actively managing financial performance and analyzing key metrics to drive profitability. Enhance sales through outstanding guest service, talent development, and operational efficiencies. Guest Engagement Encourage team members to exceed guest expectations by providing friendly, prompt service in a welcoming environment. Manage guest experiences effectively, respond quickly to feedback, and analyze feedback to identify root causes for improvement. Engage with the local community to attract new guests and implement targeted marketing initiatives. Team Development Lead the recruitment and hiring process to build and retain a high-performing team. Onboard new employees by delivering effective training and guiding them through the certification process. Inspire excellence within the team through recognition programs and providing constructive feedback to elevate skills and overall restaurant performance. Operations Management Oversee labor management by optimizing staffing and scheduling for team members. Ensure compliance with all government regulations, employment laws, and company policies. Maintain consistent operational and brand standards. Additionally, be prepared to fulfill the responsibilities of the Assistant Manager and Hourly Shift Coordinator as needed.
