We are seeking an organized and self-motivated Administrative Assistant who will be handling clerical duties, coordinating calendars, and organizing meetings. To be successful in this position you should be detail-oriented, professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Compensation: $17 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Location: Rest Haven Funeral Home Rockwall Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of administrative or accounting experience. High degree of overall computer proficiency. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Docs. Canva, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe, and Photoshop Proficiency with multi-line phone systems and general office equipment; and Working knowledge of basic accounting principles Job Duties Answers telephone and give information to callers or routes calls to the appropriate person and places outgoing calls for the business. Greets and escorts all visitors and their guests. Schedules appointments for the business. Composes and types of correspondence as needed. Inputs data into CFSS system accurately, completely, and timely. Assists client families with processing necessary paperwork and scheduling appointments. Receives and records payments from client families. Updates and maintains files and related systems for the business. Serves as a backup in other administrative functions as needs dictate; and Other duties as assigned. Assists funeral directors with the creation of obituaries, service folders, bookmarks, register books, and other items for services Scans and edits photos for website, stationery items, and tribute videos Communicates with all employees about families being served and pending families Manages website obituaries, testimonials, and other form submissions Track inventory and order supplies necessary for services, arrangement meetings, and other office needs (envelopes, bags, folders, price lists, stationery, etc.) Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Vision insurance
