CVOR Surgical Tech Job Details Location: Newark, New Jersey (07112) - New Jersey healthcare jobs Facility Setting: Hospital Operating Room (CVOR Tech) Contract Length: 13-week travel assignment Start Date: February 23, 2026 End Date: May 25, 2026 Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830-$1970 On Call: 8-hour shift on 2 weekdays (3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am); 24-hour on-call one weekend per month First Time Travelers: Accepted Scrubs: Provided CVOR Surgical Tech Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of recent CVOR Surgical Tech or operating room surgical technologist experience Active New Jersey or Compact State Surgical Tech license BLS certification (required at time of submission) Proficiency in heart and lung transplant procedures; kidney transplant experience highly preferred Experience with valve replacement, coronary artery bypass, TAVR, dissection, VATs Hybrid Room, Endovascular, and vascular case experience (e.g., Endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, Fem-Pop bypass) Ability to float to Main OR for general, laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, ortho/neuro, vascular, and pediatric surgeries Epic charting experience preferred CVOR Surgical Tech Responsibilities Assist in cardiovascular and transplant surgeries, including heart, lung, and kidney procedures Scrub for a variety of cases: valve replacement, coronary artery bypass, TAVR, dissection, VATs, and more Support hybrid room and endovascular/vascular procedures Float to Main OR as needed for diverse surgical cases Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage for urgent cases Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care Apply now to join our healthcare team as a CVOR Surgical Tech in Newark, NJ and take the next step in your surgical technology career!
