Apply today and become a part of our team in the Expo position - night and weekend availability required.Expeditor/Food Runner (Expo) Summary: The Nuevo Expo plays an important role as the voice of the FOH. You will be communicating with the lead line cook as well as FOH staff to coordinate guest food orders while ensuring appropriate quality of each dish. Duties and Responsibilities - Checking guest orders to ensure accuracy and consistency with every dish. Organizing dishes with tickets, ensuring dishes are going to the right seat/table. Communicating lead ticket times as well as 86'd items with Chef and FOH management. Keeping the expo line stocked with appropriate garnish items. Ensuring every dish that goes out is wiped, clean, and has every necessary utensil with it. Ensuring the expo line is kept clean/swept/organized at all times. Helping clean and polish dishes for the line. Being the main communication between servers and the kitchen. You are the only person that should be talking to the kitchen directly. Helping run the food if there is no one available to run and you are able to step away. Required Skills - Must be able to work in a team environment Must be able to lead and direct when necessary Must be able to remain calm in high pressure situations Must be able to communicate with guests/coworkers with respect Must be able to retain large amounts of information Qualifications - A minimum of one year of prior restaurant experience preferred Have the ability to be punctual and professional on every shift Have access to reliable transportation Working Conditions - Must be able to walk and stand for 8 hours at a time Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must adhere to dress code Must be able to deal with fluctuating temperatures, especially during patio season Compensation - Competitive wages plus one free shift meal per shift.
