Emergency Medicine Physician

Facility near Pittsburgh, PA seeking EM locums coverage. Rates: $300/hr Opportunity Highlights Flexible & Full-Time Coverage: Seeking coverage for a minimum of 8-10 shifts per month, with a preference for blocked days. You must be willing to cover a mix of Day, Swing, Night, and Weekend shifts. Multi-Site Float Pool: You will float between several facilities EMR System: All facilities use Cerner. Support Structure: Staffing varies by site, with APPs present at most locations during day shifts, though some lower-acuity sites may have single physician coverage. Privileging: Credentialing takes days, but emergency privileges can be granted in 30 days as needed. Core Responsibilities & Skills Provide 24/7 emergency coverage based on assigned rotating shifts (12-hour shifts are common, e.g., 7a-7p, 9p-7a). Treat all age groups, from neonates through geriatrics. Perform necessary ED procedures, including running codes, managing stroke alerts, intubations, central lines, and chest tubes (depending on site acuity). Note: Candidates must be comfortable with the float nature of the role, covering a mix of high-acuity Level II Trauma coverage) and lower-acuity Critical Access coverage. Provider Requirements Board Status: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required. Licensure: An active Pennsylvania State License is highly preferred, but an IMLC is accepted. Certifications: BLS is required. DEA is required. Start Date The target start date is December 1, 2025.
