Job OverviewThe Senior Manager, FP&A - Expense & FinOps is a key finance leadership role responsible for driving enterprise expense management, enhancing financial transparency, and strengthening alignment between Finance, Engineering, and Product Development. This position integrates strategic FP&A ownership with hands on FinOps leadership to improve visibility into cloud consumption, cost drivers, and operational efficiency.The role oversees the company's expense planning, forecasting, and reporting processes while building and developing a high performing FP&A expense team. We're dedicated to fostering an inclusive, purpose-driven, and innovative work environment where everyone belongs.ResponsibilitiesDedicated finance leader supporting Product, Engineering, and FinOps through hands-on ownership: Support Engineering and Product Development leadership, providing financial guidance on investment decisions, resource planning, and cost scalability. Own the evolution of the company's FinOps management reporting and KPIs by embedding FinOps principles into financial management practices, improving visibility into cloud consumption, cost drivers, and efficiency opportunities. Translate cloud usage, technical, and architectural decisions into customer insights and financial implications, balancing innovation, performance, and cost discipline. Partner cross-functionally to improve product segmentation and infrastructure cost transparency and support gross margin optimization. Support financial reviews aligned to product strategy, development roadmaps, and growth initiatives. Lead enterprise expense FP&A operation and team development: Own enterprise-wide expense planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clear communication of financial performance. Deliver standardized executive reporting, including headcount and vendor-level analyses and provide clear visibility into risks, opportunities, and trade-offs impacting operating margins and investment priorities. Embed scalable processes and best practices related to expense governance, financial controls, and headcount planning supporting disciplined expense management. Coach and mentor analysts and managers to strengthen financial modeling, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Process Improvement & Systems Enablement: Drive enhancements to financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and analytical capabilities supporting expense and headcount management. Partner with FP&A leadership and other cross functional teams to improve automation, data quality, and reporting scalability. Champion continuous improvement initiatives that increase forecasting accuracy and reduce manual processes. QualificationsExperience: 8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience, including people leadership. FinOps experience supporting Product and Engineering organizations within a SaaS or technology-driven environment. Demonstrated ownership of planning, forecasting, and executive reporting processes. Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis capabilities. Working knowledge of FinOps concepts and cloud cost drivers (AWS, Azure, or GCP environments preferred). Experience with agentic AI production cost modeling is highly desirable. Familiarity with Adaptive Planning, Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, or Power BI preferred. Business Acumen & Leadership: Strong understanding of SaaS business models, GAAP fundamentals, and operating expense management. Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, including technical leaders. Proven ability to lead teams and operate effectively in rapidly changing environments. Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence. Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and solutions oriented. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and qualified candidates may be contacted throughout the posting period.The anticipated base pay range for this position is $140,000-$165,000 annually. Additional compensation for this role includes a bonus eligibility, which program is based on personal, department and/or company performance, where applicable. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market data.
