GI Alliance is seeking an experienced, full time Endoscopy Nurse. No Nights! No Call! No weekends! No Holidays! Paid Holidays! Come join our family friendly workplace! GI Alliance is seeking an outgoing and caring Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals! This full-time position would cover our location in the Chesterfield/Richmond area; assisting our patients in the pre, intra and post phases of their visit. Our work is fast paced, energetic and team-focused. Shifts are 10 hours (6:30 am to 5:00 pm), with 4 shifts per week - leaving one week day off, per week, to help maintain your work/life balance! Qualifications: - Active Licensure - in good standing (required) - 2 years of bedside nursing experience (preferred) - BLS and ACLS certification (preferred) QualificationsEDUCATION: RN degree. Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. EXPERIENCE: Professional nursing experience, gastroenterology experience and IV placement experience preferred. REQUIREMENTS: Current state registered nurse license. Current BLS certificate. Performance Requirements: Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and functions; and community resources. Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies. Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and policies and procedures. Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment. Skill and knowledge in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination. Skill in verbal and written communication. Skill in initiating appropriate crisis interventions and emergency response calmly and effectively. Skill in patient triage in person and on the phone. Ability to read and interpret physicians orders. Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and document results. Ability to maintain quality control standards.
