Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Elective Orthopedics - B3W department, where you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families. Work Shift: Night Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in creating a compassionate and caring environment by exhibiting kindness and actively listening to both patients and colleagues. Your valuable contributions will support our mission and enhance patient care. Key Responsibilities: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, documenting all care in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess and identify patient conditions. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs and responses to care. Utilize sound nursing judgment to guide patient care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as prescribed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans for all patients. Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree). Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Familiarity with quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them in patient care settings. Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
