A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available in Durham, NC, serving students within the Durham Public Schools district. This role is ideal for a dedicated therapist interested in providing school-based services and supporting the developmental needs of children, primarily at the elementary level. The assignment is a travel position requiring on-site presence with no remote or hybrid options. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services directly to students following individualized education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, administrators, and families to support student progress. Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with state and district regulations. Provide coverage for an FMLA-related absence, with the contract expected to extend through at least January. Qualifications and Experience: Current, active North Carolina OT licensure is mandatory. Experience working within school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children. Ability to obtain or hold a North Carolina Department of Education background check; while not immediately required, it is preferred. Commitment to working full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) with no availability for part-time schedules. COTA candidates will not be considered for this role. Location and Schedule: Position located in the Research Triangle area, specifically Durham. Full-time, on-site role with hours aligned to school schedules. Assignment begins as soon as possible and will continue at least through the end of the school year in June 2026.
