This role blends technical expertise, customer engagement, and project leadership to drive process improvement, automation, and operational excellence across the network.The ideal candidate brings proven experience in industrial engineering, continuous improvement, and systems optimization, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and plays a key role in both new facility start-ups and ongoing operational enhancements.This position follows all corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and actively supports a strong safety and compliance culture.Work LocationOnsite - Country Club Hills, ILWork ScheduleFirst Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pmWork Travel30%Competitive Total Rewards PackageAttractive annual salary of $125,000-$145,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of 1-2 Industrial EngineersDemonstrate strong leadership and influence across cross-functional teams and stakeholdersDrive engineering initiatives from concept through implementationSupport new facility start-ups by developing layouts, SOPs, processes, performance metrics, and operational structuresDesign warehouse layouts for new and existing facilities using AutoCADAnalyze storage, material handling, and zoning strategies to optimize warehouse flow and efficiencyIdentify, design, and implement continuous improvement and automation initiativesDevelop ROI analyses and long-term automation and process improvement roadmapsEvaluate automation technologies, partners, and solutions aligned with business growth and customer needsPartner with IT, integrators, and controls teams to test and validate system integrations, software, and automation solutionsEnsure systems align with design specifications and operational requirementsCollaborate with Operations and Solution Design teams during the bid process to develop, price, and present engineering solutionsDevelop bid documentation, support vendor selection, and ensure value-driven procurement decisionsWork directly with customers to design and integrate tailored engineering solutionsBuild tools and dashboards to measure service levels, productivity, and key performance indicatorsConduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planningApply industrial engineering principles and quantitative methods to improve utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, and capitalBe part of a forward-thinking company that values creativity and continuous improvement. Click apply today to join ID Logistics!This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorshipMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, ORMaster's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceExperience working in an operations, manufacturing, or warehouse environment and/or with an automation provider, integrator, or retailer/e-commerce organizationDemonstrated experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projectsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelWorking knowledge of AutoCADKnowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) features and functionalityStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesFlexibility and willingness to support systems and operational needs as requiredPreferred QualificationsBasic working knowledge of Power BIFoundational understanding of SQLExperience supporting automation or systems integration projectsExposure to data visualization, reporting, or operational analytics toolsExperience working in multi-site or high-volume distribution environment
