Job Description

A specialized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a travel assignment in Grayslake, IL, supporting students from early childhood through 12th grade. This ESY (Extended School Year) role offers a focused timeframe from June 15, 2026, to July 26, 2026, with multiple positions open. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM, with the first and last day extending until 3:15 PM. This position requires in-person availability and is ideal for SLPs seeking travel opportunities within educational settings. Location: Grayslake, Illinois (travel assignment) Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services to students ranging from early childhood to 12th grade Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized student needs Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in compliance with district guidelines Deliver therapy during the ESY program focusing on students requiring additional support Adhere to all state licensing requirements and district policies Qualifications: Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois Prior experience working as a school-based SLP preferred Capable of providing therapy services in an in-person setting Approval for SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) and Clinical Fellowship status pending or secured is a plus Benefits: Gain diverse experience working with a broad age range of students Opportunity to work in a structured ESY environment with clear schedules Exposure to multiple cases in a travel assignment setting Interested candidates with current Illinois licensure and PEL are encouraged to apply to engage in this rewarding SLP travel role supporting student success over the summer months.
