Harden Secure is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to manage projects end-to-end, from pre-construction through closeout. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in perimeter security and civil/site construction who is comfortable operating in both estimating and project execution functions. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage multiple customers, and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Construction and Estimating:Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditionsPerform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews from plans, specifications, and other contract documentsSolicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricingIdentify risks, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunitiesSupport proposal development and assist with bid strategyProject Management:Manage projects from award through closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plansCoordinate with clients, general contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliersOversee procurement of materials and subcontracted workMonitor job costs, forecast final costs, and manage change ordersEnsure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectationsLead project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholdersManage project close-out documentation, including as-builts, warranties, and final billingTechnical Scope Experience (Preferred):Perimeter security systems, including fencing, gates, barriers, bollards, and access control systemsCivil and site construction, including concrete foundations, flatwork, trenching, and underground utilitiesCoordination with electrical contractors for access control, power, and low-voltage systemsClient and Market Experience (Preferred):Projects for large general contractorsGovernment, federal, or municipal workCritical infrastructure or secure facilitiesRequired Qualifications:U.S. Citizen5+ years of experience in project management and/or estimating within constructionDemonstrated experience managing projects end-to-endStrong understanding of civil/site construction means and methodsExperience with perimeter security work is strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong financial and cost control skillsProficient in estimating and project management softwareExcellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWhat Harden Offers:Opportunity to play a key role in a growing companyExposure to specialized and high-profile projectsCollaborative and performance-driven cultureCompensation & Benefits:Competitive compensationBlue Cross Blue Shield Health and Dental insurance, Vision insurance benefitsCompany-provided Life, AD&D, and Long-term Disability (LTD) benefitsCompany-paid vacation and sick leave401k with company matchWork Environment:Frequent national travel required. When out at job sites/construction sites, the noise level will be loud due to various equipment/machinery.
