We provide individualized care for generations in a boutique style environment. + The Labor and Delivery Unit provides Level II Maternity Care for approximately 3,500+ births per year, and consists of 4 OB Triage rooms, 10 labor rooms, 3 OB ORs and 4 PACU beds. The adjacent units are a 12 bed Level II NICU and a 34 bed Mother Baby Unit. + The multidisciplinary OB team is supported 24/7 by on unit OB Hospitalists, Neonatologists/Pediatric Hospitalists and Anesthesiology. + Advent Health for Women is a key part of the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative's PROVIDE initiative (reducing primary c-sections) and MORE (reducing maternal opioids). Our team is able to provide virtual classes and tours with our patients and individualized care with our Birth Experience team. + Other highlights include Professional Excellence Programs, Perinatal Nurse Internship Programs and our Multidisciplinary Obstetrical Simulation Training + By joining this team, you can expect that you will be supported in your role, have opportunities to grow in your profession and have leaders that are invested in your well-being. **The role you'll contribute:** * Assist with newborn care at deliveries, providing immediate care and support to newborns during and after delivery. * Maintain skills in neonatal resuscitation to respond effectively in emergencies. * Demonstrate assessment skills in high and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify potential risks and health issues. * Identify and report maternal and newborn problems to the physician promptly. * Assist with the transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated, ensuring safe and efficient transfers. * Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others to prevent mix-ups. * Document all care activities accurately, including band identification numbers in medical records. * Provide care during obstetrical surgical procedures, assisting in the Labor & Delivery Operating Suite. * Perform intraoperative and post-anesthesia care according to established standards. * Conduct steam sterilization processing for instruments and supplies, ensuring all sterilization parameters are met. * Provide emotional support for grieving parents, offering compassionate support and connecting them with appropriate support groups. * Educate and support families about newborn care, health conditions, and post-discharge care. **Sign-on Eligibility:** + Applicable experience required. + Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible. **Education:** - Associate's of Nursing [Required] - Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] **Work Experience:** - 1+ acute nursing experience [Preferred] **Licenses and Certifications:** - Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required] - Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] **Physical Requirements:** (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - **Pay Range:** $31.53 - $52.24 _This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances._ **Category:** Registered Nurse **Organization:** AdventHealth Winter Park **Schedule:** Full time **Shift:** Night **Req ID:** 151415588
