Description: Provide patient care that meets or exceeds the standard of care for the specialty or subspecialty of practice. Provide clinical services including diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of conditions requiring medical care. Provide clinical services in-person or via telehealth, as appropriate. Consult with other providers as requested and provide written reports on results of examinations within a reasonable time following requests. Perform patient care duties according to the schedule determined by the specialty and site of care. Assist the lead physician and Medical Director in finding coverage by a qualified physician if unable to perform duties when scheduled. Engage in effective, professional collaboration with all members of the healthcare team. Maintain the volume of care defined by the standards set by the specialty, subspecialty, and site of care. Contribute to the development, improvement, and implementation of process and other continuous improvement activities. Adhere to all professional expectations and policies, rules, and regulations in place. Be a role model of values and professionalism by creating and nurturing a psychologically safe workplace. Work to achieve goals established in accordance with applicable processes. Take a share of call, including holiday call, as applicable for the role and specialty. Provide emergency/on-call coverage as required. Ensure appropriate coverage for admission and care of patients being admitted to the hospital. While on call, be immediately available by phone and available on-site according to protocols. Be available to receive telephone calls from established patients and other healthcare providers outside of business hours regarding established patients or consults on a rotation.
