Responsibilities 32-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in a hospital setting in Nashville, TN Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Patient ratio of 2:1 Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations Advanced equipment in use includes Hill-Rom beds and Philips telemetry monitors Charting is done in Meditech 3-4 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period Floating to other units may be required based on census Student nurse externs serve as techs; unit secretary available Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM 13-week contract Scrub colors permitted: galaxy blue, red, or black; scrub jackets or vests only Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible NIH Stroke Scale certification is required for ICU RNs per HCA policy and should be obtained prior to assignment start Requirements Active RN license - Tennessee or compact state license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment) Minimum 2 years of recent CCU or critical care experience Strong cardiac and critical care background required Experience with PA catheters and hemodynamic monitoring required Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-674885.
