Mid-Level Diesel Technician - First Shift

Hourly Pay: $24.00 per hour Certification Bonus: Earn $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700 Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 paid every quarter Sign-On Bonus: Receive $2000 at 30 days and an additional $2000 at 90 days Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekends off Hours: First Shift 8:30 am - 5:00 pm We want the right Maintenance Repair Mechanic to join us at Ryder. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Vocational or technical certification is preferred Basic tools are required Demonstrated experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance At least two years of a combination of classroom training and work experience preferred Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred This position requires driving Ryder vehicles; you must be able to obtain a CDL within six months of hire Pass a Ryder drug test and DOT physical Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and inspections Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic equipment Identify root causes of basic failures and perform necessary repairs Interact with customers to understand the nature of complaints Work in compliance with safety guidelines and corporate policies Perform additional support duties as needed Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace.
