Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - IR Job Details: • Work in Interventional Radiology Lab providing care to acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations • Located on 4th floor of Pruyn Pavilion • Staff available 24/7 for emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays • Work with interdisciplinary team of specialized physicians, registered clinical nurses and registered radiology technologists • Patient population ranges from adolescent to geriatric • Required to float to Cardiac Cath Lab • On-call requirement: 1 night per week • Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 7 weeks • Hospital provided scrubs for dress code • EMR systems: Cerner and McKesson • Previous IR experience required • ACLS and BLS certifications required • New York RN license required • Experience with adolescent-geriatric population required • Experience with procedural sedation, circulation, and recovery phase required • Previous travel experience highly preferred • Procedures include: angiograms, peripheral revascularization, hemodialysis catheter placement, nephrostomy drainage tubes, gastrostomy and jejunostomy tube placement, central line placement, vascular access procedures, pain management interventions, paracentesis/thoracentesis, and pre/post-care for biopsies Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive Interventional Radiology Lab that serves both inpatient and outpatient populations.
