Human Resources Administrator The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for supporting and working alongside the Deputy Director of People & Culture, the Human Resources Strategy Manager, and the Senior Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Administrator plays a key role in shaping the overall staff experience by supporting day-to-day HR operations, coordinating activities, and facilitating a seamless onboarding process for new hires. This position is instrumental in supporting payroll, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, training, reporting, and various HR initiatives and special projects. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and serve as a responsive and collaborative partner to employees and leadership. HR Operations & Employee Support Collaborate, engage, and respond to employees and leaders regarding HR-related questions, issues, and concerns. Serve as a trusted point of contact while maintaining cooperative, confidential, and courteous relationships with staff. Support HR compliance efforts and ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and internal policies. Payroll & HR Administration Process and support internal payroll process ensuring accuracy of employee data, reporting, and records. Maintain HRIS and personnel files with high attention to detail and confidentiality. Assist with benefits administration and employee data management. Prepare and generate accurate HR reports and documentation. Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as requested. Recruitment & Onboarding Support onboarding processes to ensure positive and efficient new employee experience. Assist with training coordination and related documentation. Administrative Excellence Effectively manage a wide range of tasks and objectives while balancing frequent interruptions. Adapt well to stopping and starting tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and maintain accuracy under pressure. Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 2-5 years of progressive experience in HR, payroll or administrative experience. Experience working in a union environment with knowledge of related regulations and procedures. Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) / HRIS integration preferred but not required. Must be able to work a standard schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekends. Performance Standards & Core Competencies Highly proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom. Comfortable and discreet in handling confidential information. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and guidelines. People person strong interpersonal and communication skills. Sound decision making and ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously. Highly responsible, reliable, and trustworthy. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and accuracy under pressure. Motivated and Self-Starter Works best with limited oversight.
