Job Details Job Location: Detroit River Yard - Detroit, MI 48215 Salary Range: $19.00 Hourly Job Shift: 2nd Vascor is offering you the opportunity to join our team where you will become an asset to the service we deliver to our customers every day. As Yard Lead you will be the driving force in managing the yard activities, ensuring that the requirements of the Yard Management team as well as our customer requirements are met. This position is located within minutes of Grosse Pointe, MI. Hours: 2nd shift 6:00 pm -2:30 am.Shift premium added to base rate while working 2nd shift. What does Vascor have to offer? Practice overall safety on the jobsite and in the yard Follow company policies and procedures Know the inspection process (inbound / post campaign) and train team on standardized inspections process. Know how to use equipment (scanners/computer/etc.) and train team. Fill out necessary paperwork on a daily basis. Know, understand, and use Quality Management System and train team. Manage a staff of 12 employees. Very fast paced environment. Accurate arrival of inbound vehicles. Essential Skills and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License required with a clean driving record Read and comprehend written word Write Perform calculations Good Communication skills Reason and analyze Qualifications Essential Skills and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Skills Verbal and written communications skills This position requires the following physical demands: Lifting up to 25 lbs.  1-3 hrs.  throughout the day Standing 6-8 hours/day Walking, 6-8 hrs./day Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day and Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day. On the job the employee must: Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of conducting inspections in varying levels of light. Have normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles. ENVIRONMENTAL On the job the employee: May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress May be around moving machinery and equipment on a daily basis Depending on work location, may be exposed to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemicals depending on the work location May be required to drive motorized equipment depending on the work location Potentially walks on uneven ground May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf cart or company vehicle General sign-off: The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to policies.
