The Payroll Administrator works in conjunction with the Payroll Analysts and Management to ensure payroll is processed accurately for all employees of Hartford Healthcare. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to: Assists employees in person, on the phone, and via email and provides accurate information in a professional and timely manner. Process Payroll Adjustment transactions and off-cycle checks accurately and timely as needed. Coordinates final pay issuance for involuntary terminations in accordance with Federal and/or State labor laws. Reports/logs compliance issues to management. Adheres to and advises business partners of Federal and/or State labor laws pertaining to Wage and Hour laws. Responds to information requests regarding subpoenas, wage garnishments, and employment verifications. Works with Payroll Analysts and Treasury to process voids and reissuance of lost/stale checks. Assists employees with information regarding W2's. Reviews and enters W4 and Direct Deposit information. Understands, adheres to, and communicates Hartford HealthCare policies and Payroll departmental procedures effectively. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree strongly preferred Experience: Two years of related experience, preferably in healthcare Kronos and PeopleSoft application experience, strongly preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent Customer Service skills Excellent computer skills, ability to manage multiple applications/screens at once.
