As the Manager of Billing - Skilled Care you will be responsible for overseeing all billing and revenue cycle activities related to skilled nursing and post-acute services. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant billing in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial payer regulations while leading and developing the billing team. This position is in office Monday- Friday.What You'll Do: Oversee day-to-day skilled care billing operations, including Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private pay. Manage and develop a team of internal billers. Ensure accurate and timely claim submission, follow-up, and resolution of billing issues and denials. Ensure timely and accurate cash posting to maintain proper financial reconciliation. Monitor cash receipts, identify discrepancies, and resolve posting errors. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to improve billing efficiency. Analyze billing performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements. Work with payers to resolve claim denials, appeals, and outstanding balances. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations. Provide training and mentorship to billing specialists to improve knowledge and efficiency. Collaborate with Revenue Managers and AR Director to align billing strategies with revenue cycle goals. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare billing, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with electronic billing systems, such as MatrixCare or similar platforms. In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial insurance billing processes. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
