Job DescriptionTitle: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Location: Near Evanston, IL Hire Type: Direct Hire Salary: $30-$35/hour Benefits: 10% 2nd Shift Differential; Comprehensive Benefits; Strong PTO Program; Employee-Owned Company Our client is a locally based, employee-owned manufacturing company with a strong culture centered on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Job Duties: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including press brakes, hydraulics, lathes, and mills. Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of equipment. Perform routine inspections and safety checks. Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to support operational goals. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with press brakes, hydraulic systems, lathes, and mills. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work third shift and be available for overtime when required.
