Job Summary - The therapist is responsible for the evaluation and application of a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with occupational therapy needs. The therapist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and disorders of the patients served. The therapist must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's functional skill requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. The therapist must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Full-time, part-time and PRN candidates will be considered. Inpatient care, pediatric or hand and upper quadrant orthopedic experience preferred, although not required. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) are also encouraged to apply as multiple positions are currently available at both the Bellefontaine and Urbana locations. This position is under the management of contacted therapy services. Language Skills Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills.
