Packaging Mechanic I

Job Title: Packaging Mechanic I Location: Monmouth Junction, NJ Hours / Schedule: 2nd Shift | Mon-Thurs, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM Type: Temp - Perm Compensation: up to $40 per hour (pending experience) Overview The Packaging Mechanic I supports the Packaging Department by maintaining and repairing packaging equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, line changeovers / startups, equipment upgrades, and root cause analysis to ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and FDA requirements. Must have strong electronics / PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) background with strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose! ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and troubleshooting on packaging equipment (fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, shrink wrappers, etc.) Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement activities Execute line changeovers and startups Support QA and Operations during packaging runs Ensure safe equipment operation at all times RequirementsHigh school / GED Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical / Biotech packaging mechanic experience Strong electrical background Hands-on experience with fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, shrink wrappers, etc. Must pass pre-employment and physical Proficient in manufacturing procedures, FDA regulations, cGMPs, SOPs Ability to read/interpreting safety, maintenance, and procedure manuals Basic PC skills Willingness to work overtime as needed Preferred RequirementsTrade school or technical certification Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50lb Stand for extended periods Use of PPE as required Benefits System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
