This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a well-established retail company that values leadership, teamwork, and operational excellence.About This RoleAs Receiving Manager, you will oversee all aspects of inbound operations including receiving, ASN processing, secondary receiving, and cross-dock operations. You'll lead a dynamic team of up to 35 associates and supervisors while ensuring efficient processing of all inbound merchandise to support our retail stores.Key Responsibilities Supervise and develop a team of up to 35 associates including supervisors, leads, and material handlers Plan and coordinate daily workload assignments to ensure productive department startup Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and training Review and assign inbound trailers to appropriate doors and team members Coordinate seasonal merchandise handling for patio, Christmas, and other peak periods Monitor and audit shipment quality, reporting results to management and transportation teams Process and track ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) work in progress Ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound merchandise Complete daily departmental reports and productivity analysis Track departmental UPH (Units Per Hour) and CPU (Cost Per Unit) metrics Review and analyze weekly/monthly productivity trends Establish goals and objectives to address carrier compliance issues Manage freight bill processing and claims resolution Communicate and enforce company policies, programs, and procedures Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and OSHA standards Qualifications Experience: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution environment Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with vendors, store operations, buyers, and team members Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems Data interpretation and analysis capabilities Problem-solving and emergency response skills Leadership and team development abilities Knowledge of inventory management and quality control processes Lean/continuous improvement experience BenefitsAt Boscov’s, we value our employees, and that’s why we provide a competitive compensation and benefits package.
