Plant Controller

Summary Responsible for all plant-level financial operations, including cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a multi-line manufacturing and warehousing facility. Partners closely with Plant Management to analyze performance, control costs, support capital investments, and improve overall profitability. Ensures accuracy, integrity, and safeguarding of plant financial information and assets. Key Responsibilities Lead accurate and timely plant financial reporting, forecasting, and budget planning. Oversee manufacturing, labor, material, and overhead cost accounting. Analyze production costs, variances, margins, and inventory performance. Partner with Plant Management on financial planning, decision support, and cost-reduction initiatives. Develop and manage annual operating plans and production standards. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions. Manage capital expenditure analysis, business cases, post-investment reviews, and audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations. Maintain effective inventory controls, valuations, and reconciliations. Support internal and external audits as required. Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate proactively to leadership. Collaborate with Corporate Finance to ensure consistent financial practices and reporting. Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 5 to 7 years of accounting or controlling experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong background in plant cost accounting and manufacturing finance. Prior senior cost accounting or plant controller experience strongly preferred. ERP system experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of inventory accounting, controls, and compliance. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
