Position Summary The OB/GYN Supervisor is a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with the Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role provides direct supervision of clinical and front office staff while also supporting patient flow, staff training, quality initiatives, and daily operational needs to include providing hands-on support and coverage when needed. This role is ideal for a proactive solutions-oriented leader with a strong clinical background and a passion for staff development, operational excellence, and patient-centered care. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Support Service as an onsite clinical resource for nursing and support staff, including direct assistance with patient care when staffing levels require. Support triage, procedure room, and routine patient care functions as needed to maintain patient flow. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice practitioners, and staff to resolve clinical concerns or workflow barriers in real time. Team Supervision & Development Oversee day-to-day activities of clinical and front office support staff, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal performance. Coordinate staffing schedules and assignments, adjusting based on daily needs, callouts, and provider changes. Participates in the hiring, onboarding, training, and performance feedback and evaluation of team members. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that supports staff retention, engagement, and accountability. Operations & Patient Flow Partner with the Manager to identify and implement workflow improvements and operational efficiencies. Monitor clinic operations throughout the day, ensuring timely room turnover, effective communication, and patient satisfaction. Support execution of daily huddles and staff communications, escalating concerns as appropriate. Compliance & Quality Assurance Monitor adherence to infection control, clinical safety, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance. Assist with training staff on policy changes, new workflows, or updates related to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirement. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, required. BLS certification required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in a clinical ambulatory setting; OB/GYN or women's health preferred. At least 1 year of experience in a clinical leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory role preferred. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and coach others. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced outpatient environment. Experience with EHR systems; Epic experience a plus. Work Environment This position operates in a clinical setting. Standard business hours with occasional extended hours to meet departmental needs.
