Description The Department of Sociology at Tufts University invites applications for a part-time lecturer position for the Fall 2026-Spring 2027 academic year. We seek qualified instructors to teach up to four courses over the two semesters. Part-time lecturers teaching three or more courses per academic year are eligible for benefits. Course Areas: Courses taught in Fall 2026 will include Gender & Society and Social Movements. Candidates may propose courses in their areas of expertise for Spring 2027. While departmental needs may vary by semester, there is a strong preference for courses related to law, public policy, and inequality. Courses typically meet twice weekly.
