What You'll Be Doing As part of a collaborative diagnostic imaging department, you'll work with state-of-the-art MRI equipment to produce high-quality scans for interpretation by radiologists. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Performing routine and advanced MRI scans using established protocols Evaluating images for technical quality and ensuring all views are complete Communicating effectively with patients, explaining procedures and safety measures Verifying and entering patient data into hospital information systems Collaborating with radiologists, nurses, schedulers, and transport staff to optimize workflow Maintaining equipment functionality and cleanliness Participating in ongoing training and staying current with new imaging technologies Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital safety protocols What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you'll need both the credentials and the character to provide excellence in imaging care. Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred Completion of an accredited MRI training program Licensure & Certifications: ARRT certification required MRI advanced registry required (or must be obtained within 6 months if entering as trainee) Connecticut State Radiography License Skills & Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in MRI (preferred; trainees with foundational radiologic experience will be considered) Proficiency with cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols Ability to calmly support patients, particularly those with anxiety or physical limitations Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems Physical ability to assist patients and manage MRI equipment in a busy hospital setting Able to work safely in magnetic environments and follow screening protocols diligently What You'll Gain Your work will directly impact the speed and accuracy of diagnoses - and your career will benefit from the culture of support and innovation this region is known for.
