Job Full Description Job Title Material Handler A material handler moves, stores, and tracks materials and products in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers. They are responsible for ensuring that materials are delivered to the right place at the right time. Responsibilities Receive and ship goods: Load and unload shipments, process returns, and restock shelves Maintain inventory: Identify, label, and record inventory locations, and report shortages Prepare for shipment: Package goods for shipping, and prepare finished stock for shipment Operate machinery: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials Maintain equipment: Perform routine maintenance checks and make repairs to equipment Adhere to safety guidelines: Follow safety procedures and keep the workplace free of hazards Document issues: Record issues like unanticipated deliveries, missing inventory, and damaged shipments Clean: Sweep, dust, arrange shelves, and store equipment Other tasks as needed.
