Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of packaging, shipping and receiving operations, logistics, managing a team, and collaborating with various departments to optimize logistics processes, and costs. Your team is the final set of eyes to look at products and ensure our products appear professionally, packaged professionally and make it to the customers facility in good order and using timely and appropriate shipping vendors or internal capacity. May work with vendors to expedite shipping durations and product delivery to KMM. Strategic Duties: Team Leadership: Lead and manage a dedicated team of shipping and receiving personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve shipping and receiving processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Identify areas for automation and implement technological solutions where applicable. Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet established quality standards and customer requirements for packaging and documentation. Implement and enforce quality control measures in shipping and receiving operations. Communication: Foster open communication channels with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics partners. Provide regular updates on shipping and receiving performance metrics to the Operations Manager and other relevant stakeholders. Safety and Compliance: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols in all shipping and receiving activities. Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance. Task Duties Oversee all daily shipments of finished product and ensure everything that is scheduled and available to ship is completed to meet customer requirements. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of raw materials and finished goods. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics processes. Shipping Supplies Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses. Maintain cycle counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory levels. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all shipping and receiving processes within routers, related regulations, including customer packaging requirements, industry standards, customs requirements and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of shipping paperwork, shipments, receipts, and inventory levels. Finished Goods Inventory: Prepare documentation and labelling for excess goods to be stored in finished goods repositories. Packaging: View and package goods. Coordinate with Material Management: Communication and flow of finished goods to inventory to ensure accuracy and MRP information flow. • What You Bring Proven experience in a shipping and receiving leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain processes. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with relevant software and technology for logistics management. Physical Demands: Ability to sit at computer workstation for extended periods of time, walk the shop floor, and participate in aspects of the product realization as may be required. On the floor.
