Role Overview The HRIS Coordinator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's HR technology ecosystem. The role provides subject-matter expertise for UKG and related HR systems, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and effective cross-functional support. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, technical proficiency, and a commitment to high-quality service delivery. This position reports directly to the Director of Learning and HRIS and is based at Big 5's headquarters in El Segundo, California. Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Support & Administration Support HR system projects, enhancements, and ongoing operational needs. Configure, test, implement, and maintain HR applications, workflows, automation, integrations, and system-generated reports. Provide troubleshooting and user support; serve as a system SME and HR partners and end users. Documentation & Training Maintain accurate system documentation, reference guides, workflow maps, and process documentation. Stay current on UKG configuration, integrations, updates, and new functionality. Partner with the Training team to develop and maintain UKG training resources. Reporting & Data Governance Develop, maintain, and deliver custom HR reports and dashboards using UKG BI/People Analytics or Cognos. Execute and support compliance reporting and government-required submissions. Conduct routine audits to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with HR, IT, and other business units on HR data initiatives and system-related projects. Support system testing efforts, including test planning, execution, and UAT coordination. Complete additional assignments and projects as required. What We're Looking ForRequired 3+ years of experience configuring and administering UKG Pro HR/UKG Pro People in both production and test environments. Experience managing HRIS integrations and troubleshooting data-related issues. Proficiency developing custom reports and dashboards using UKG BI/People Analytics or Cognos. Advance Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables. Experience supporting system testing, UAT, and issue resolution processes. Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Loop, and Copilot. Preferred Experience with virtual visitor management systems. Experience with Bryte AI or other HR-focused AI tools. Experience with UKG WFM or other time keeping and workforce optimization applications. Experience with UKG Onboarding, Recruiting, and Position Automation. Experience with UKG Community, UKG University and UKG Support tickets. Complete UKG Courses via UKG University related to UKG Pro administration, configuration and reporting. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
