Position Summary As a core member of an interdisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients. The role involves evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs based on the principles and practices of occupational therapy. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in providing patient assessment, direct therapeutic care, and developing personalized care plans to help individuals achieve their functional goals. Responsibilities Respond to physician orders for occupational therapy in a timely and professional manner. Administer and interpret a variety of tests and measurements to accurately assess patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities. Review patient charts and monitor progress to continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Develop functional goals in collaboration with patients and their families, tailoring treatment to align with their expectations and needs. Implement therapeutic interventions to develop, improve, or restore skills in activities of daily living, work, leisure, and other productive activities. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and all therapeutic interventions. Actively collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care. Seek clarification of physician orders as necessary to ensure effective and safe treatment. Qualifications Education: A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing OT in a healthcare setting is preferred. Certifications: You must possess a current state license to practice occupational therapy.
